Craft update – wall hangings

A few weeks ago I merged my 2 blogs – Home on the Hill was the original (gardening) blog and End of the Bumpy Road was a badly maintained craft-focussed blog. So now they are one, it’s time for a craft update.

Let’s start with the wall hangings. The idea was to make a set of seasonal hangings for the chimney breast in the study. I based it on the 8 celtic pagan festivals – I’m not a pagan, but I like the way their festivals reflect the natural world. These have taken far too long and I got rather bored in the end – truth is, I like the finished effect of cross-stitch but the process itself bores me.

I only hang one up at once – I change them as the seasons turn. I do like them, but the project lasted too long.
